My journey through pageants has been a long one. It started when I was five and I participated in my school's pageant. Although I am naturally very shy, I somehow managed to walk away with third runner-up.
When I was ten, I started doing pageants again and won the first one I was in. This time I was sold on the value of pageant. Ever since then, I have been doing pageants. They have given me confidence, the ability to perform in front of people, and interview skills that will help me throughout my business career. Last year, I competed in a preliminary pageant and won the first one I did. I later went on to the state pageant and had an amazing time meeting all the new people and making new friends who I am still in touch with. I am now a contestant in the Miss Georgia's Outstanding Teen pageant where I will be representing Miss Thomasville's Outstanding Teen. |
